Design review
A structured look at design work by stakeholders, teammates, or clients, with the goal of approving it or listing what must change.
A design review is a checkpoint: work is presented, feedback is collected, and the outcome is either approval or a concrete list of changes. Reviews go wrong when they have no owner and no end state, so feedback trickles in forever and nobody can say when the design is done.
Effective reviews define what is being reviewed (a page, a flow, a file), who has a say, and where feedback lives. One link to the work under review, with feedback collected in place, beats a deck plus an email thread plus a call recording every time.
