Design drift
The gradual divergence between the design file and the live product, as fixes, content changes, and quick patches accumulate in production.
Design drift rarely comes from one big mistake. It comes from dozens of small, reasonable decisions: a developer eyeballs a margin, a CMS editor pastes styled text, a hotfix changes a color inline. Each is invisible on its own; together they make the live site a distant cousin of the design.
Drift is measurable, which is the good news. Comparing the rendered page against the design file, value by value, surfaces exactly what diverged and by how much, and turns "the site feels off" into a fixable list.
