Automated design QA
Every page and breakpoint, measured against the design.
layernote reads your Figma frames and the rendered styles of the live page, and lists every difference with the expected and the actual value. You review the list; what you accept becomes a pinned comment.

Before layernote
Sound familiar?
Design QA today is someone with two windows open, comparing by eye.
- Only the pages and breakpoints someone had time for get checked; the rest ships as is.
- One font weight, one pixel of padding, one shade of grey slips through every time.
- Findings end up as screenshots and prose in a ticket nobody can act on.
Link the design. Compare to live.
Accept what is a defect.
01Link the Figma file
Paste the file link into a website project and pick the frames. Each page gets a desktop, tablet and mobile slot.
02Compare to live
layernote loads the page at the frame’s width, reads the rendered styles and measures every property. No test code.
03Accept what is a defect
Every difference shows the expected and actual value. What you accept becomes a pinned comment for your team or agent.
Then your agent fixes it
From difference to fix, without writing a ticket.
What you accept is already a comment with the selector, the screenshot and the expected value. Ask your coding agent once: it pulls the open findings over MCP, fixes them in your code and closes each one with what changed.
- No screenshots to mark up, no ticket to write.
- Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, over MCP.
- Every comment is closed with what the agent changed.
What it checks. And where you stay in charge.
- 01
Colors, type and spacing
Text and background colors compared perceptually, font size, weight and line height, padding and the gaps between elements.
- 02
Every breakpoint
Each page holds a desktop, tablet and mobile frame, and each is compared with the page at that width.
- 03
You accept, the tool proposes
Nothing becomes a comment until someone accepts it. A finding you reject stays quiet on the next run.
- 04
Honest about its matches
Every finding shows how sure the match is, and a frame that covers only part of a page is flagged before you review.

“Feedback used to be WhatsApp screenshots with arrows drawn on them. Now clients drop a pin on the live site and I see exactly which element they mean. No discussion, I just fix it.”
Checking a built page against its design without someone eyeballing the two side by side. layernote measures: the values from the Figma file on one side, the computed styles of the live page on the other, and every difference listed with its expected and actual value.
No. A website project needs the live URL and a link to the Figma file. There is no script on the site, no browser extension and no test code.
Visual regression compares a page with an earlier screenshot of itself, so it catches unintended changes but knows nothing about the design. layernote compares the page with the design, so it catches the gap between what was approved and what shipped, and it reports properties, not changed pixels.
Every property has a tolerance, colors are compared perceptually and low-confidence matches are labelled. Nothing becomes a comment until you accept it, and rejected findings are remembered.
Figma vs live is part of Studio and Team, without a cap on runs. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
Because feedback shouldn’t be the hard part.
